My goodness it's been awhile! Can you believe it's snowing already?
Kiddos have been in school for a month now. Hope everyone is starting the year off great! Lots of new teachers. Hearing mostly about the PE teacher or at least I've heard a lot of screaming and laughter from the gym.
Lots of fun stuff happening this year! The Fun Run on October 3rd, Winter festival and Silent Auction, Red Ribbon week, Spirit Week, Vendor fair, and that's just naming a few.
The PTCO is working hard this year to get more parent and community involvement. We have meetings the 3rd Wednesday and Thursday of every month. Wednesdays are our morning meetings at 9:00 am in the small gym. If you have lil ones who aren't in school we welcome you to bring them along. They can run around and play while we chat. Our Thursday meetings times will switch back and forth between 4:00pm or 6:00pm. We usually meet in the library. Once again children are welcomed. Ms. Linda (from the front office) is our fabulous watcher of children.
This coming Thursday night, September 18th we are having a special "P" for parents night at 6:00pm. The "P" is for pie! We'll be serving coffee as well. Kids are also welcomed to come along. October's meeting will also be at 6:00pm. We are encouraging children to come in costume and enjoy watching a movie while the grown ups have a meeting.
Also, don't forget that every Wednesday morning we meet in the lobby of the school to work on projects, talk about upcoming events, and laugh. Come stop by even if it's just to say "hi". Most of us don't bite. ;)
